Positive Psychology
Centre for Applied Positive Psychology
CAPP is an independent, not-for-profit, organisation established by
Professor Alex Linley to promote the science and practice of positive psychology. As
a membership organisation they were established to inform, educate,
and connect practitioners and researchers. Across the areas of
work, education, and health, they seek to extend and apply what is known
about strengths, engagement, and well-being, by working in strategic
partnership with organisations, educational institutions, charities,
public bodies, and individual practitioners. The centre has a
strategic partnership with us at Work Positive.
Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship
The centre, based at the University of Michigan,
is a community of scholars devoted to energising and transforming organisations through research on the theory and practice of positive organising and leadership. This site has lots of useful references, links and resources.
Authentic Happiness
The website of Dr. Martin Seligman – one of the pioneers of the
positive psychology movement. This US site includes a number of
free to complete questionnaires.
Centre for Confidence and Well-being
The Centre for Confidence and Well-being aims to support individual,
organisational and cultural change through the dissemination of learning
from Positive Psychology. As well as their web resources they organise
conferences, workshops and networking events. They are based in Glasgow.
World Database of Happiness
This site contains lots of useful references and resources relating to the study of happiness.
Positive Psychology News Daily
This site is authored by graduates of the Master of Applied Positive
Psychology program at the University of Pennsylvania. There is
a new article every day.
Positive Emotion and Psychophysiology Lab
The research based site of Professor Barbara Fredrickson, who is one
of the most influential people in the positive psychology movement. This
site shares her team’s fascinating research on positive emotions.
European Network for Positive Psychology
The European Network for Positive Psychology is a collective of European
researchers and practitioners with shared interests in the science and
practice of positive psychology. This site includes details of
forthcoming events, a good reading list and a number of interesting
links.
The Well-being Institute
This centre, at the University of Cambridge, is dedicated to advancing
the scientific understanding of well-being and applying this new knowledge
to helping people and institutions develop their full potential.
Coaching Toward Happiness
A website and newsletter run by Ben Dein in the US, focused on the practical
application of positive psychology to coaching, work and life.
Harvard Lectures
Videos of all the positive psychology lectures given by Professor Tal
Ben-Shahar at Harvard in 2006. This was the most heavily subscribed
class at Harvard that year.

Happy News
An alternative news site which focuses on positive stories only! Although
it is a US site, there is an ‘international’ section to
look at.
Laughter Yoga
The official website of the Dr Kataria School of Laughter Yoga, which
highlights the many benefits of laughter and the fact that many of us
don’t do nearly enough of it.

The ABP is a community of professionals who are business led, and psychology-focussed,
who share a common purpose to bring the best from research and applied
psychology to the business world.
Federation of Small Businesses
The FSB is the UK’s largest representative of small- and medium-sized
business.
