Work Positive

Job vacancy: Head of Juggling

Yes, you really did read it correctly. We are looking for a business psychologist who has all the right strengths to be an outstanding Head of Juggling. Could that be you?

Work Positive is a small and growing consultancy looking to appoint to this important role, right at the centre of our business. Quite exciting really! We need someone who is able to catch all sorts of different sized and shaped balls, whilst staying calm and keeping a smile on their face. An authentic smile of course!

Of all the balls that will be flying in your direction in this role, the largest of them will be managing projects and client relationships. We offer a range of services to clients, such as management training, development centres and design of recruitment and selection processes, so you will need to be comfortable overseeing projects of all types. In doing so, you will need to build strong and constructive relationships with our clients.

Another rather large ball for you to keep in the air will be the delivery of fee earning days, which we expect to take up about half of your time. There will be some variety in the type of consultancy work that you will get involved in delivering, but a significant amount of it is likely to be training and facilitation.

One of the most important balls that you will need to help us take care of is our network of associates. They are a huge part of the success we have had to date and will continue to be at the heart of what we do as we move forward. You will also work closely with our Chief Plate Spinner, Julie Norledge, who does an excellent job of managing the logistics connected with our projects.

However, as Head of Juggling there will be a number of other things coming in your direction from time to time. You will have opportunities to help us win new business, and will have some influence on the development of our internal systems as our business develops. In fact, there’s probably not much that you won’t be involved with - in some shape or form. That’s the beauty of joining a small and growing business!

This role is kind of important to us, so we are sure you’ll understand why we have got quite a long list of strengths that we are looking for in our chosen candidate. As well as having the flexibility (and hand-eye co-ordination) to be able to juggle well, you will need to be naturally organised – so you don’t spend all your time just juggling. To succeed in this role you must have a real commitment to quality and be able to effortlessly build friendly professional relationships.

We expect this to be a full-time role, and ideally would want to appoint a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (or equivalent) with a strong track record of managing projects, client relationships, and people. We would, of course, also expect you to be an excellent trainer and facilitator. Actual juggling skills could be an advantage too, just for entertainment purposes (we’ve only got a small office so probably best not to bring your clubs, particularly if you like setting them on fire!).

So, if you like the idea of being the star juggler in a small business, why not get in touch. Please email Michele Deeks, at mdeeks@workpositive.com for further details. Please note that although some home working will be possible, the role will require you to spend some time at our office in Shipston on Stour in Warwickshire.

We welcome applications from all suitably qualified people. However, clowns need not apply.
